TAKING TREATMENT PERSONALISATION TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH ALMA HYBRID

Alma’s Hybrid Laser is unique in many ways. Patient Amy shares why it’s her go-to laser and her treatment experience.

“Finally, there is a treatment with visible results and minimal discomfort and downtime.”

What do patients want these days? Results, with minimal discomfort and minimal downtime. Skin resurfacing has been one of the most effective treatments for visible rejuvenation of the face, but usually goes hand-in-hand with prolonged redness and flaking of the skin, while non-ablative lasers are more gentle. In a revolutionary move, Alma Lasers has combined the two technologies in its Alma Hybrid, making it possible to treat patients with a fractional CO2 laser and a non-ablative 1570nm laser at the same time, giving patients the best of both worlds.

With both laser wavelengths having their own optimal effect on the skin, side by side, treatments are highly effective, suitable even for darker skin types and with a low ablation density that minimises downtime. With customisable ratios between ablative and non-ablative laser, every single treatment can be personalised delivering the best outcomes for patients’ wants and needs.

Why Dr Natasha Cook chooses the Alma Hybrid for her patients?

“The Alma Hybrid has a long list of tremendous benefits compared with other lasers in its category,” says laser dermatologist Dr Natasha Cook. “It’s highly effective and offers superior results whilst less painful and with less downtime than comparative devices. Each treatment can be designed based on skin type and amount of downtime. On top of this, it has a unique ultrasonic handpiece for laser- assisted drug delivery that is pioneering. We now use this for melasma, keloid and surgical scars to enhance topical drug absorption. Patients have been extremely impressed and delighted with the results – they feel it is less painful and are amazed at the degree of improvement in a single session to treat acne scars, surgical scars and skin rejuvenation. Alma Hybrid has become my go-to for skin rejuvenation, acne scars and surgical scars.”

A real-life patient experience with the Alma Hybrid

Amy Kaslar has been a patient of Dr Natasha Cook for eight years, trusting the dermatologist with keeping her skin looking its best. She tells us about her experience with the Alma Hybrid: “I trust Doctor Natasha Cook, so her advice was really important to me, and I had done several treatments in the past to combat fine lines and dullness, but the downtime of some of the laser treatments was quite bad. I have sensitive skin, and with some treatments I experienced up to two weeks of downtime. So when Dr Cook suggested the Hybrid Laser for an overall skin rejuvenation treatment this time, I couldn’t believe how little downtime there was – I was back to work the next day! Besides a little bit of redness, there was nothing – I was anticipating a swollen, puffy face, but that didn’t occur, it was a really great experience. What I am most impressed with, are the results. I felt my skin was tighter and that those fine lines had kind of disappeared. Overall, the dullness had gone. I do suffer from a bit of dryness, but after the treatment, I just felt a bit plumper overall. I’ve already recommended it to friends and family. I think it’s great.”
