FAQs

  • Yes. Harmony runs from one touchscreen with preset protocols for every applicator, so a trained therapist selects the indication, the skin type and the applicator, and the system loads safe starting parameters. A quick-reference guide sits on the machine for recommended settings. Two applicator ports stay connected at the same time, so combination treatments do not need a hardware swap mid-session, and the interface does not change as you add applicators later. Alma Lasers Australia trains your team on site at installation.

  • Alma skin rejuvenation works by placing controlled energy in the dermis so the skin rebuilds collagen and elastin, without removing the surface. On Alma Harmony there are two main routes. ClearLift Pro uses Q-switched nanosecond pulses to create a photoacoustic effect below an intact epidermis, which is why it is used as a no-downtime treatment. ClearSkin Pro and the non-ablative applicators heat the dermis directly while the tip cools the surface. Harmony Bio-Boost combines these into a biostimulation protocol for tone, firmness and radiance.

  • It depends on whether you buy a single-purpose machine or a platform. Tattoo removal is a repeat-visit treatment, usually six to twelve sessions per patient, so it produces predictable rebooking. On Alma Harmony the Q-switched applicator is one module on a platform that also treats pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, acne, scars and skin rejuvenation, so the same capital serves several revenue lines instead of one. Ask an Alma representative for a payback model built on your own patient numbers. Finance is available through Medfin.

  • Five things separate profitable tattoo removal from complaint-heavy tattoo removal in a small clinic.

    1. Photograph and consent every tattoo before the first pass, including ink colours, age of the tattoo and any previous removal attempts.
    2. Test patch first on a small area and review at 24 to 48 hours, particularly on Fitzpatrick IV to VI.
    3. Space sessions six to eight weeks apart so the immune system has time to clear the fragmented ink. Treating sooner does not speed up clearance.
    4. Quote a course, never a single session. Most tattoos need six to twelve passes and patients who expect one will be disappointed.
    5. Book removal into quiet clinic hours. Sessions are short, so tattoo work fills gaps between longer skin appointments.

Alma Lasers Australia trains your team on protocol selection and endpoint recognition at installation.

  • Alma removes tattoos with a Q-switched Nd:YAG applicator, ClearLift Pro on the Alma Harmony platform. It fires nanosecond pulses that are absorbed by the ink particles far faster than the surrounding skin can heat, so the ink shatters into fragments small enough for the body to clear over the following weeks. Two wavelengths, 1064nm and 532nm, let one applicator treat dark inks and red or orange inks.
