Facial contouring: questions patients ask
How does non-surgical facial contouring work?
Accent Prime and PrimeX use radiofrequency and ultrasound to heat the deeper skin layers, encouraging collagen and firming the jawline, cheeks and neck. Alma Opus uses fractional plasma to tighten and resurface the surface.
What does it feel like?
Radiofrequency treatments feel like a warm massage. Opus involves a brief heat sensation and is usually done with numbing cream.
How many sessions?
Radiofrequency contouring is typically a course of several sessions; Opus is often one to three sessions spaced weeks apart. Results build over two to three months.
Is there downtime?
Radiofrequency: usually none. Opus: a few days of redness and light peeling.
Is it a replacement for surgery?
No. It suits mild to moderate laxity. A practitioner will tell you if your goals need a surgical opinion.
How much does it cost?
Set by the clinic per area and per course. Alma Lasers Australia does not set treatment prices.
Where can I find a clinic near me?
