It is written for clinic owners and practitioners who want to check the science before they buy, and for anyone comparing devices. Every study below is also in our Clinical Resources library, where you can filter by platform and indication.
How to read it. Journal, year and first author are shown for each study. Where a study was performed on an earlier Alma platform that shares the same technology, the section note says so. Treatment outcomes in these papers were obtained under study conditions; results in practice vary with patient selection, settings and operator skill, which is why Alma Lasers Australia trains every clinic on protocol.

Are these studies on the exact devices sold in Australia?
Most are on the current platforms. Where a paper used an earlier Alma platform sharing the same technology, such as the microplasma studies, the section note says so. Devices supplied by Alma Lasers Australia are the current models, included in the ARTG.
Why are some studies small?
Aesthetic device research often starts with pilot and split-face studies, then builds to larger series and systematic reviews. The list mixes both so you can see the progression. Ask your representative for the papers most relevant to your indication.
Does Alma publish Australian data?
Australian case series are being collected now with participating clinics; see the section above. Alma Academy sessions also present Australian practitioner experience with local skin types.
